The face of an explorer

The Crossing the Ditch team are a over a week out and the expedition is beginning to take its toil:

what a hectic night... the combination of 20kt winds and current running the oposite way have really made the seas stand up over night. We’ve had many a wave crash and run over the entire length of the cabin. As a result have only got an hours sleep between the two of us. Today is more of the same… when i poked my head out this mrning to pay mother nature a visit i wasn’t suprised to see short sharp waves of up to 6m rushing towards the cabin. If this was long rolling swell then we’d have no trouble paddling, but it resembles ‘clapitis’ the disturbed water you have around cliff lines, but hopefully it’s dying down abit so we should get some paddling done this arvo.
